Convention Competition

Here are some images from the competition, taken by Pat Corte Rooney. If anyone has more photos, do e-mail to me and I'll post them here.

Garth Lax did an outstanding job in arranging this portion of the convention. And Garth, if you have a minute, let me know more info on these items, and the winners of each category.

UPDATE: Click on the comments link below to see Garth's response.

Trying to recall each of the 125 entries in the Competition is a fair task, but I'll try

I believe that the top one is
Dapper Dan, which took a Blue Ribbon
for Peggy Ell in the United States, 1900-1950 category.

The next one looks like a Satch
LaValley original art piece. It
took top honors for Louise Leek in
the Original Art After 1950
Category.

The third one is My Ladye Faire,
which took a Blue Ribbon for
Peggy Ell in the Newspaper
Non-Celebrity Category.

The fourth one is Regency Lady,
competed by Elaine Price.
Regency Lady took the Blue in
the Original Art Pre-1900 Categoty,
as well as the Judges' Grand Award
Rosette and a Popular Special Award Rosette.
