Eugenia measures about 4 and a half inches tall, and from her costume I would guess she is circa 1870s-1880s. Marian Howard's book illustrates a larger version of this doll (6 inches) that was published in Germany as an embossed set; Howard refers to this smaller version as likely coming from a McLoughlin Bros.' six cent sheet (page 191).
